The challenge was to design a responsive static website for a coffee shop. It contains:
- a home page with some basic information

The mobile-friendly web application uses an API to generate random and daily inspirational quotes. It provides the user features like:
- sorted quote categories
- alphabetical filtering of authors
- text-keyword searching between quotes
- contact form submission to an email address

Random jokes generator fetches API data from an URL and gives access to the jokes platform. In the meantime, the web application also keeps counting the number of reading jokes. Used third-party NPM packages:

The search engine uses the Wikipedia API that returns the first five listed hits and shows the rest on request. The hits forward us to the specific Wikipedia entry, the so-called wiki page. Used third-party NPM packages:

The web app is designed mobile-friendly for a model & artist with a gallery and a blog section. The contact form is set with an EmailsJS account for sending messages to a Gmail email address. Used third-party NPM packages:

- react-alice-carousel for sliding images
- react-modal-image with zoom option
- react-hook-form for form validation
- node-sass for compiling SCSS files to CSS

The web application contains two pages with listing all products from a MySQL database and adding a product with a unique SKU + additional details like name, price, size, height, width, length and weight. These products can also be deleted by checkbox. The database is hosted on 000webhost and managed with phpMyAdmin. Used third-party NPM packages:

- axios for creating HTTP requests
- mui/material for advanced UI elements

About Me

My first IT job experience was at Hewlett-Packard in Ireland in 2015. I worked as a German Technical Support Analyst, providing first-line technical support on the full range of hardware and software. My daily tasks were to deliver solutions through problem research and analytical troubleshooting. Later, I spent a few years in taxation, implementing new automated tax services in compliance with legal requirements and cooperating with software developers. These prior work experiences made me detail-oriented and guided me to discover new work methods and technologies.

Finally, my passion for IT got me back on track. I decided to dive into the World of Coding and completed a 12-week intense Full-Stack Web Development course in November 2021. I learned about widely used programming languages and frameworks like JavaScript, PHP and React.js. Since I felt fascinated by the UI design and the code that powers it in an application, I have chosen to focus on front-end development. Eventually, I enjoyed it more coding with React.js and its UI-driven layouts.

After all, I started my first internship as a Junior Front-End Developer in May 2022 to gain experience in supporting software development. The project was to build and host an internal order processing software on the Google Cloud Platform for a digital marketing company. I assisted by creating and maintaining front-end code in React.js (TypeScript) and cooperating with developer colleagues via GitLab and Asana. My job was, among others, optimising the user interface design and customising user-facing components to meet operational needs.

I am currently working as a User Acceptance Testing Specialist analysing and testing specific user stories in collateral management services inside a Business Acceptance Testing environment with an agile methodology approach. I execute test scenarios on the Xact Web Portal application and simulate the client behaviour by sending different SWIFT messages in XML format to the software. Nevertheless, I create test documentation proving that system changes and improvements are appropriately delivered.

To expand the scope of my coding skills, I am always open to discussing and joining challenging front-end projects
